Introduction to the Association :

The China Association of Oceanic Engineering was founded in January 2010, with the Ministry of Civil Affairs as its registration authority, the Central Social Work Department overseeing its Party-building work, and the Ministry of Natural Resources serving as its primary industry regulator.

To better meet the demands of the offshore wind industry under new circumstances, standardize practices, and enhance the overall level of the sector, the China Offshore Wind Association was officially established in February 2018. This was carried out in accordance with the Articles of Association of the China Association of Oceanic Engineering, initiated by China Three Gorges Corporation with strong support from the China Association of Oceanic Engineering, and jointly proposed by dozens of offshore wind-related organizations including Goldwind Science & Technology Co., Ltd. The establishment was approved by the China Association of Oceanic Engineering under document number [2018] No. 9.

As China’s only national-level industry association dedicated to offshore wind engineering technology, the China Offshore Wind Association is committed to building a platform for industry exchange and cooperation, promoting technology and resource sharing. Through organizing various seminars, exchange activities, and conducting industrial research, it serves as an efficient bridge for technical exchange and business collaboration among government agencies, enterprises, public institutions, research institutes, and other stakeholders. The association facilitates the sharing of technological innovations and drives deep integration between industry and research.

Target task :

( 1 ) Promote scientific and technological innovation in the offshore wind power industry, provide consulting services, contribute wisdom and strength, and promote high-quality development of the industry ;

( 2 ) Integrate all aspects of offshore wind power resources to promote the deep integration and coordinated development of offshore wind power industry ;

( 3 ) Organize and carry out technical exchanges and industrial cooperation, build exchange and cooperation platforms, promote communication between government, industry, university and research, promote offshore wind power technology demonstration and achievement transformation, and provide information services for member units ;

( 4 ) Promote the standardization construction of offshore wind power, and gradually establish and improve the standardization system.

Business scope :

( 1 ) Tracking the technology trends, development trends and related policies of offshore wind power at home and abroad, organizing and carrying out research on major issues in the field of offshore wind power, and providing advice ;

( 2 ) Organize and carry out the investigation and statistics of the development of offshore wind power industry, and organize the preparation of annual reports ;

( 3 ) Organize the development, implementation and evaluation of offshore wind power standards ;

( 4 ) Organize and coordinate the development and application of major units and key projects, integrate the resources of advantageous enterprises and scientific research institutions, carry out offshore wind power technology demonstration, and promote the transformation of achievements ;

( 5 ) Regularly hold offshore wind power industry development forums, organize and hold offshore wind power engineering technology conferences and special conferences, and carry out technical seminars, product display and other activities ;

( 6 ) Organize exchange and training activities to help cultivate all kinds of talents needed for the development of offshore wind power industry and improve the level of employment ;

( 7 ) Organize and carry out international exchanges and cooperation, collect the latest developments and trends of international offshore wind power, prepare development reports, and assist member units in introducing and absorbing foreign advanced technologies and products ;

( 8 ) Construction and operation of offshore wind power expert database ;

( 9 ) Complete other tasks assigned by the association.
