As of the end of June, the installed capacity of wind power was about 290 million kilowatts

On July 16, the National Energy Administration released statistics on the national power industry from January to June. As of the end of June, the country’s installed power generation capacity was approximately 2.26 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 9.5%. Among them, the installed capacity of wind power was approximately 290 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 34.7%. The installed capacity of solar power generation is approximately 270 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 23.7%.

From January to June, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 1,853 hours, an increase of 119 hours over the same period of the previous year. Among them, nuclear power was 3805 hours, an increase of 286 hours over the same period last year; wind power was 1,212 hours, an increase of 88 hours over the same period last year.

From January to June, the investment in power supply projects of major power generation enterprises nationwide was 189.3 billion yuan, an increase of 8.9% year-on-year. Among them, nuclear power was 22.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 44.3%; hydropower was 47.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.1%; solar power generation was 16.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.2%. The completed investment in the power grid project was 173.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%.
