National Energy Administration releases national power industry statistics from January to July
On August 17, the National Energy Administration released the national power industry statistics from January to July. As of the end of July, the installed capacity of power generation nationwide was 2.27 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 9.4%. Among them, the installed capacity of wind power was 290 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 34.4%. The installed capacity of solar power generation was 270 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 23.6%.
From January to July, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 2,212 hours, an increase of 130 hours over the same period of the previous year. Among them, nuclear power was 4,532 hours, an increase of 327 hours over the same period last year; wind power was 1,371 hours, an increase of 98 hours over the same period last year.
From January to July, the investment in power supply projects of major power generation enterprises nationwide was 222.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.1%, of which hydropower was 53.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.1%; solar power generation was 19.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%. The power grid project completed investment of 202.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.2%.
At the end of 2020, the cumulative installed capacity of wind power nationwide was 281.53 million kilowatts, of which the cumulative installed capacity of onshore wind power was 271 million kilowatts, and the cumulative installed capacity of offshore wind power was approximately 9 million kilowatts.
