The 8th China Offshore Wind Power Engineering Technology Conference Successfully Concluded

The 8th China Offshore Wind Power Engineering & Technology Conference, themed with "Gathering and Gaining" and jointly organized by Offshore Wind Power Branch of China Ocean Engineering Consulting Association, National Wind Power Engineering & Technology Research Center, and Fujian Electric Power Survey and Design Institute of China Electricity Construction Group, was successfully concluded in Fuzhou. The conference brought together senior representatives from government representatives, association representatives, academicians, developers, machine manufacturers, research institutes, industry chain units and other senior representatives to join the event.

The conference lasted for two days, with one main forum, six parallel sub-forums, professional exhibitions, Banyan City Night, cooperation negotiations and other special activities, mainly focusing on the development of the offshore wind power industry, the development of large-capacity turbines, offshore wind farms, surveying and design, installation, operation and maintenance, industrial integration and other topics, which brought the participants a wonderful academic feast.



On December 16, Mr. Qu Qiang, President of China Ocean Engineering Consulting Association, Mr. Zheng Yu, Member of the Party Group of Fuzhou Municipal People's Government and Vice Mayor of Fuzhou, Mr. Liu Yuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of China Electric Power Construction Group Company Limited and Deputy General Manager of China Electric Power Construction Corporation, Mr. Yao Xiaofang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of CECC Fujian Electric Power Survey and Design Institute Company Limited and General Manager of CECC Fujian Electric Power Survey and Design Institute Company Limited, made speeches at the conference, pointing out that as a major part of marine energy and a strategic As an important part of marine energy and a strategic emerging high-tech industry, the development of offshore wind power is an inevitable choice to realize the transformation of clean and green energy. In the keynote report session, Teng Jinguang, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and President of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Wang Fuming, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Fan Qixiang, Deputy General Manager of China Huaneng Group Corporation, Wang Weisheng, Chief Engineer of China Electric Power Research Institute Company Limited, Zheng Jinhai, Vice President of Hohai University, and Liu Jianping, Deputy General Manager of Fujian Branch of China Three Gorges Corporation Limited shared their experiences on the application of composites in the engineering structure of floating offshore wind power, challenges and countermeasures of marine civil engineering, grid-connected operation technology, wind turbine foundation scour protection, engineering structure design and construction, etc. The application of composite materials in floating offshore wind power engineering structures, challenges and countermeasures of marine civil engineering, grid-connected operation technology, wind turbine foundation scour protection, etc., and engineering structure design and construction were shared.

In addition, experts also put forward suggestions and thoughts on how to promote the development of offshore wind power technology and how to cope with the challenges of the parity era.

On December 17, the conference carefully organized 6 parallel professional forums, covering 12 sessions and showcasing 60+ technical special reports. The reports mainly focused on the core technologies in the field of offshore wind power, involving in-depth discussions on offshore wind power load calculation, support structure design and geotechnical engineering related technologies; at the same time, they also paid attention to the key issues of offshore wind power delivery technology, design and construction of boosting stations; and they shared the latest trends of the convergence development of the offshore wind power industry and the development of international offshore wind power; in addition, the forums focused on the development of large impeller units, large components, deep and distant sea wind power, and the latest trends of the development of the industry; in addition, the forums focused on the development of offshore wind power.
