China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd. Shandong Peninsula South 4 offshore wind power project No. 34 wind turbine smoothly connected to the grid, successfully issued Huaneng’s “first degree” offshore wind power in Shandong, that is, Shandong Province’s “first degree” offshore wind power, helping Shandong Province to realize offshore wind power Wind power "zero" breakthrough.

Huaneng Shandong Peninsula South 4 offshore wind power project is the first batch of offshore wind power demonstration projects in Shandong Province, and is a key project of the strategic cooperation agreement between Huaneng and Shandong Province.

The project is located in the southern waters of Haiyang City, Shandong Province, with a total installed capacity of 301.6 MW and 58 sets of 5.2 MW wind turbines. It is planned to achieve full-capacity grid-connected power generation before the end of this year.

After the project is put into operation, it is expected to provide 820 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity per year, which is equivalent to saving 253,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 556,000 tons. It is of great significance for Shandong Province to accelerate the conversion of new and old kinetic energy and green and low-carbon development.

It is understood that the project is one of the offshore wind farms with the deepest water depth and the largest single-unit capacity in China.

During construction, the project has overcome technical problems such as the water depth of the construction area exceeding 30 meters and the deep soft soil layer, and has created a new record for the speed of fan pile sinking in similar projects

It is the first offshore wind power project to realize the national production of offshore booster stations, which is the first offshore wind power project with comprehensive utilization of wind, solar, and storage;

Creatively completed the overall hoisting of the first offshore wind turbine, creating a precedent for domestic offshore wind power to implement the overall hoisting of a single-pile foundation wind turbine above 5.2 MW.
