Recently, the domestic offshore wind power project with the longest distance from the shore-Three Gorges Energy Jiangsu Dafeng H8-2 Offshore Wind Power Project (hereinafter referred to as "Dafeng H8-2 Project"), the first batch of generating units connected to the grid, announced that the project has entered full capacity and Grid power generation sprint stage.

The hoisting of the wind turbine of the Jiangsu Dafeng H8-2 Project of Three Gorges New Energy was successfully completed

The Dafeng H8-2 project is located in the sea area north of Maozhusha, Dafeng District, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. The center of the site is 72 kilometers away from the shore, and the site is an east-west irregular polygon. The project has an installed capacity of 300MW, using 38 GW155-4.5MW and 20 GW171-6.45MW wind turbines.

Dafeng H8-2 project is the first EPC project between Goldwind Technology and Three Gorges Group Shanghai Survey and Design Institute (hereinafter referred to as "Shanghai Institute"). Since the beginning of the project, it has been facing the dual impact of the peak period of offshore wind power construction and the new crown epidemic. Due to the long distance from the shore, the project is also faced with large swells in the open sea, complex construction conditions, and serious seabed sediment erosion, which makes ships easy to anchor. Problems such as installation ships, transport ships, and piling ships have high requirements, and the progress of the project is facing huge challenges. In order to ensure the lifting progress, Goldwind combined its rich offshore lifting experience, coordinated construction plans with the Three Gorges Jiangsu and Zhejiang Company, the Shanghai Institute and other related parties, and continuously made breakthroughs in productivity improvement and lifting efficiency optimization, and split the required processes one by one, and optimized In the construction steps, the operation window is accurately locked, and the entire chain of production, transportation, and construction is actively coordinated to organize and plan safeguard measures; and organize technical personnel to formulate installation efficiency improvement plans based on the characteristics of the installed ships, and timely adjust the installation procedures to ensure the efficient hoisting of the project. In the end, the goal of shortening the hoisting time of a single 4.5MW unit to less than 30 hours and shortening the hoisting time of a 6.45MW unit to less than 40 hours was realized, which greatly accelerated the progress of the project. It only took 11 months from the hoisting of the first unit of the project in January 2021 to the completion of the hoisting of the whole site.

Dafeng H8-2 project will achieve full-capacity grid connection before the end of the year. After being connected to the grid, it is expected to provide about 900 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy to the whole society every year, meeting the electricity demand of about 370,000 households. Compared with thermal power with the same power generation capacity, it saves more than 280,000 tons of standard coal each year, reduces the emission of carbon dioxide by about 760,000 tons, and reduces the discharge of wastewater by more than 50,000 tons, which can effectively reduce the pollution of the atmosphere and the water environment, and fully contribute to the local green Low-carbon transition.

Born to the sea, set sail. The successful conclusion of the Dafeng H8-2 project is a vivid epitome of Goldwind's efforts to create value for customers during the peak period of offshore wind power construction. In the future, Goldwind will stand on a new beginning and forge ahead, with a more aggressive attitude and more innovative measures, to create a better future for the offshore wind power industry.
