On December 7th, my country’s first floating offshore wind power platform, equipped with the world’s first anti-typhoon floating offshore wind turbine, formed the "Three Gorges Leader" and successfully connected to the grid at the Yangjiang offshore wind farm in Guangdong, marking my country’s global presence. It is the first to have independent research and development, manufacturing, installation and operation capabilities of large-capacity anti-typhoon floating offshore wind turbines, which is of positive significance for promoting the upgrading of my country's offshore wind power high-end equipment manufacturing and tapping the potential of far-reaching wind energy resources.

The single unit capacity of "Three Gorges Pioneer" is 5.5 MW. It is led by China Three Gorges New Energy (Group) Co., Ltd., and is independently developed by China Three Gorges Shanghai Research Institute and other scientific research institutions as well as domestic fan manufacturers.

On December 4, the first domestic 7MW offshore wind turbine with fully independent intellectual property rights developed by China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd. was successfully hoisted in the Huaneng Qidong Offshore Wind Power Project.

The offshore wind turbine hoisted this time is the Huaneng-Dongqi DEW-D7000-186 permanent magnet direct-drive offshore wind turbine, which is led by Huaneng Jiangsu Company and Huaneng Clean Energy Technology Research Institute, and is jointly developed by Dongfang Electric and many other units.

3. The main part of the first tender section of Shantou's first offshore wind power project was completed

On December 6, the last wind turbine of the Datang Nanao Lemen I offshore wind power project bid section 2 project undertaken by the China Railway Construction Port and Shipping Administration was successfully installed, marking the main part of the first bid section of the first offshore wind power project in Shantou. Successfully completed.

The Datang Nanao Lemen I Offshore Wind Power Project is located in the eastern part of Shantou City and near the Lemen Islands in the southern waters of Nan'ao County. The closest distance to the land of Shantou City is about 18 kilometers. The planned site area is about 18 square kilometers. It is a key construction project in Guangdong Province. It is also the first offshore wind power project in Shantou. The project is divided into two bid sections with a total installed capacity of 245 MW. Among them, the two bid sections undertaken by the China Railway Construction Port and Shipping Administration have a total of 18 Shanghai Electric 7 MW wind turbines with an installed capacity of 126 MW.

After the completion of the Datang Nanao Lemen I offshore wind power project, it is expected to generate 751 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, which can save 240,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 450,000 tons.

4. The most difficult in China! Yudean's Guangdong Yangjiang Shapa Offshore Wind Power Project overcomes world problems and generates full-capacity grid-connected power generation!

On December 5th, as the blades of the last wind turbine slowly turned, it marked that the Yudean Yangjiang Shapa Offshore Wind Power Project (hereinafter referred to as the "Shapa Project") successfully achieved full-capacity grid-connected production! The 47 offshore wind turbines from Guangdong Energy Group will send a steady stream of clean electricity to the grid.

The planned installed capacity of the project is 300MW, one 5.5MW and 46 6.45MW wind turbines are deployed, and a 220kV sea booster station and an onshore control center will be constructed synchronously. After the project is put into production, the annual on-grid electricity consumption is about 823 million kWh. Compared with coal-fired power plants, it can save about 259,500 tons of standard coal consumption and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 524,300 tons, equivalent to 315g/kWh of standard coal consumption. Recreating 1,436.43 hectares of forest is of great significance for optimizing the energy structure and layout of western Guangdong and building a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient modern energy system.

5. 72 kilometers! The first batch of wind turbines connected to the grid in China's furthest offshore wind farm

On December 5th, the first batch of units of Three Gorges Energy Jiangsu Dafeng H8-2 Offshore Wind Power Project (“Dafeng H8-2 Project”) were connected to the grid for power generation. The furthest offshore wind power project has achieved initial results.

The Dafeng H8-2 project is the offshore wind power project with the longest distance from the shore in my country. The project team overcame difficulties and created a number of "firsts" and "bests", which provided a reference for offshore wind power to move towards deep-sea development. Dafeng H8-2 project will achieve full-capacity grid connection before the end of December this year.

6. Yancheng Guoneng Dafeng H5 Offshore Wind Power Project was officially connected to the grid

On the morning of December 9, Yancheng City held the start-up ceremony of Yancheng Guoneng Dafeng H5 Offshore Wind Power Project. Zhou Bin, deputy secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Acting Mayor, attended the start-up ceremony and announced that the project was officially connected to the grid.

Yancheng Guoneng Dafeng H5# Offshore Wind Power Project is the country's first offshore wind farm built by a prefecture-level city state-owned enterprise, and has created the world's first innovative use of energy storage emergency power supply and other offshore wind farm construction records.

The total installed capacity of the project is 206.4 MW. It is located in the coastal waters of Dafeng, outside the border of Dafeng Port. The distance from the center of the site is about 67km from the shore, and the planned sea area is about 37.4 square kilometers. After being connected to the grid and put into operation, it is estimated that the annual power generation will be 610 million kwh, the annual power generation revenue will be about 518 million yuan, and the annual consumption of standard coal can be reduced by about 170,000 tons, which is important for further optimizing the structure of Yancheng's new energy industry and helping to achieve the "dual carbon" goal significance.

7. 802MW! The main project of the domestic largest single-capacity offshore wind farm is completed

On December 6, the main part of the domestic offshore wind farm project with the largest single capacity in China-Jiangsu Qidong offshore wind farm project, which was constructed by CCCC First Aviation General Contracting Branch and a company, was completed.

The wind farm is located at the mouth of the Yangtze River in the coastal waters of Qidong City. The center of the site is about 37 kilometers offshore. The construction of the project includes the foundation construction and installation of 134 large-megawatt wind turbines. The total installed capacity is 802 megawatts. It is Qidong, Jiangsu Province. The city’s first offshore wind power project is also the current domestic offshore wind power project with the largest single capacity and the most types of wind turbines installed (4 manufacturers, 7 models).

Among them, the H1 and H2 bids constructed by CCCC First Airline General Contracting Branch and a company include 80 wind turbine foundation construction and wind turbine installation construction, and they have undertaken the main construction tasks of the wind farm.

After the project is connected to the grid for power generation, it is estimated that the annual on-grid power will be 2.2 billion kWh, which can meet the electricity demand of approximately 7.33 million ordinary households for one month. The emission of 1.441 million tons of smoke and dust will play an important role in promoting the energy transition and green and low-carbon development of Jiangsu Province, and achieving the national carbon peak and carbon neutral strategic goals.

Up to now, Envision Energy has delivered a total of 116 offshore smart wind turbines with a total capacity of over 600MW in Shandong waters. 9. The first domestically-developed 10MW offshore wind power tower transformer in China was successfully connected to the grid and put into operation

Recently, the 10MW offshore wind power tower transformer model SR(H)SP-F-11700/35 independently developed by TBEA Hengbian Co., Ltd. was successfully put into operation at the site of the Changle Offshore Wind Power Project of Three Gorges Energy Fujian. The first domestically made 10MW offshore wind power tower transformer for grid-connected operation.

With precise design schemes and advanced processing methods, the special oil transformer for offshore wind turbine towers independently developed by TBEA has passed all types of tests such as short-circuit withstand capacity, vibration and internal combustion arc at one time, becoming the first domestic company to master offshore wind turbine towers. A power transmission and transformation enterprise that develops technology for transformers. In May 2021, the product successfully passed the national appraisal and was assessed as the "International Leading Level" after on-site joint assessment by experts.

The product of this project was put into operation, successfully solving the problem of "hollowing" domestic high-power offshore wind power equipment, marking the successful completion of the localization of core offshore wind power technology, and boosting my country's offshore wind power construction into the era of "parity on the grid".

10. Guoxin Rudong 350MW Offshore Wind Farm Project Full-capacity Grid-connected Power Generation

On December 1, 2021, all units of the Guoxin Rudong H2# Offshore Wind Farm Project successfully achieved grid-connected power generation. So far, the project has achieved full-capacity power generation one month ahead of schedule, and successfully completed the project construction target.

Guoxin Rudong H2# Offshore Wind Farm Project is constructed and operated by Jiangsu Xinneng Haili Offshore Wind Power Co., Ltd., and is one of Guoxin Group’s 50 key tasks in 2021. The project is located in the sea area of Rudong, Jiangsu. The center of the site is about 50km offshore. A total of 70 5MW wind turbines are deployed. The project was approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission on December 28, 2018, and the first wind turbine was connected to the grid on September 28, 2021. The project is expected to have up to 1 billion kilowatt-hours of on-grid electricity annually, saving about 300,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 600,000 tons per year.

11. Siemens provides 2 light offshore substations for the 960MW Moray West wind farm

The Moray West offshore wind farm in the UK has selected the Siemens Energy/Iemants consortium to provide two light offshore substation platforms for the project.

According to the agreement, this 860MW offshore wind power project will use Siemens Energy's offshore transformer module (OTM) technology on the platform.

The Moray West project requires a total of two transformer platforms, from the inter-array cable input to the booster station, and then connects to the onshore substation through a 220kV outlet cable. This is also provided by Siemens Energy. The onshore substation will then increase the voltage to 400kV ( 400,000 volts) and then connected to the national grid.

12. The world's largest offshore wind farm has reached a milestone!

Recently, SSE and Equinor completed the financing and closure of the Dogger Bank C project under development. The world's largest offshore wind farm under construction has completed the last milestone before the start of construction. DoggerBank is located 130 kilometers away from the northeast coast of the United Kingdom, with an installed capacity of 3.6GW. It will be constructed in three phases, namely Dogger Bank A, Dogger Bank B and Dogger Bank C. Each phase is 1.2GW. It is planned to be invested in 2023, 2024, and 2026. transport. After it is put into operation, it is estimated that the annual power generation will be 18 billion kWh, which will account for 5% of the electricity demand in the UK.

13. DORIS and Lhyfe: Release the first offshore floating wind power integrated hydrogen production system

DORIS is a leader in integrated engineering and project management for offshore development, while Lhyfe is a global pioneer and pure participant in the field of renewable green hydrogen production. In order to accelerate the work of both parties in offshore hydrogen production, the first floating wind power generation was launched. The machine integrates hydrogen production systems and seeks opportunities on a larger scale.

The manufacturing and operating experience of this project will be used for the final development of DORIS/Lhyfe's proprietary solution NerehydTM. This exclusive product combines Lhyfe's technology to produce renewable green hydrogen and DORIS's floating wind turbine solution-Nerewind.

The NerehydTM solution integrates a hydrogen production site on the floating platform of the wind turbine, which can be deployed to grid-connected or off-grid applications for small-scale production of 10MW. The first prototype that integrates R&D and production (R&D) should be realized in 2025-with a total budget of approximately 60 million euros.
